FAQs
How often does the consultant see my child?
At the start of the collaboration, the number of visits is agreed upon with parents by considering factors such as your child’s needs and parents' expectations. Typically, the designated consultant will carry out one two-hour long visit per week. These visits may involve analysing the data collected by therapists, discussing progress, implementing new targets and training therapists or caregivers (see our list of services).
How many therapy sessions per week will my child need?
The number and duration of therapy sessions depend on many aspects such as your child’s age, if they have been exposed to ABA previously, the therapists’ availability and the income you would like to allocate to ABA therapy. Typically, we start with fewer sessions and gradually increase the amount. A minimum of two-hour sessions, five days per week, is encouraged. Also, some children receive ABA therapy in the school setting.
What are the costs involved in ABA therapy?
Therapy costs are usually negotiated with the therapist. This can vary depending on their experience in the field and qualifications, such as obtaining an RBT certification or a Master’s Degree in ABA. We are not involved in the process of finding a therapist or determining their hourly rate, however, we can provide some general guidance.
The consultant’s hourly rate, as well as a breakdown of costs for each service provided, is disclosed to clients prior to signing a contract (contact us for a price list of our services).
Other costs may be those related to session materials such as printing and laminating, toys, games and any other relevant learning resources.
